After the Israeli invasion to the Palestinian territories in spring of 2002, that resulted in destroying the infrastructure, pausing the routine life, and the occupation of all the Palestinian’s Ministries therefore stopping all kinds of services they provide to people, which showed how the civil society institutions are important in such situations.
In these situations precisely a group of Palestinian Educators such as Artists and Writers decided to establish a non-governmental institution specialized in developing the children by educating them and cares for their psychological in the west bank.
And in the period the first Establishment Statement, and the authority of the Palestinian Ministry of Interior has been published, and giving the authorization of the internal systems that matches the law of the Palestinian non-governmental assemblies, and the institution’s comprehensive vision and strategies were published , and also the institution has been licensed from the Palestinian Ministry of Culture.

Since the beginning of  their work , the first Administration Board Member has established the “Evening School for Training the Talented in Art” and it was licensed from the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education and the curriculum of the school, and the certificates became officially credited .

And the institution has been developed progressively, and the first and second conference was set, and the second Administration Board Member has been elected, and the institution’s Administrative and Financial system has been approved , that contains the most highest transparency. And they have agreed with another institution to be responsible in auditing the accounts and publishing the annual financial reports, and in fact the annual financial reports of 2003, 2004, and 2005 has been published, and the annual financial report of 2006 is currently being prepared.

Since the beginning of the institution’s formal activities in the beginning of 2003, a lot of Developing Projects has been implemented for children and teenagers, that were all funded from different sources Local and Foreign. And these projects matched the institution’s vision in its social role, some aimed for social awareness for teenagers through the different kinds of Art, and some aimed for the human rights , especially the children’s rights, some in democracy, some in respecting the law, some in enhancing the concept of peace (social peace , peace among societies, and other civilizations and beliefs). And Art has been used to work with juveniles and with are with special needs, and the institution has implemented projects that aims to protecting the psychological health for the Palestinian children through Art, especially in the areas that are continuously facing conflicts with the Israeli soldiers and settlement. And one of the main projects that was implemented also training professional Teenage Artists in the field of Illustration method, that contributed in creating a stronger and better base of the production of Palestinian children books. And in training field our institution has trained school teachers in 35 governmental main schools in the field of teaching Art. And training people in the educational clubs in many villages and in Hebron city.
